Linda never thought a walk in the park could make her feel old.
Not because of her age.
Because of the pain.
As her grandkids ran ahead calling for her, she looked down at her feet. The burning had already started. The pressure. The soreness. The ache that made every step harder.
So instead of joining them, she stayed on the bench.
Smiling on the outside. Hurting on the inside.
Because when you’ve always been active, not being able to keep up doesn’t just hurt physically.
It feels like life is moving on without you.
